United Belgian States by Fenn-O-maniC United Belgian States by Fenn-O-maniC
A simple map of United Belgian States after successful Brabant Revolution and Republic of Liége joining the union.

UBS (:XD:) has good relation with the United Provinces, which helped it with its war against Austria. The Brabant Revolution also inspired the French people to rise against the tyranny and after pretty bloody civil war between Republicans and Monarchists, France too, becomes republic.

Possibly. But could later lead to same situation as in OTL, South were catholic while north was protestant

Whats OTL? Do you mean Ireland?
Do you think this confessional conflict would be a problem in the 21th century? Germany is also divided in two confessions and has few problems with it since 1871...

OTL stands for Our Time Line, the real world. Belgium used to be part of the Netherlands but since the provinces were mostly Catholic while the northern ones were Protestant they kind of got seperated.

Religion doesn't play a big role in European politics anymore so sounds quite unlikely.

Ok I know they seperated from the Netherlands in the past because of religious differences. But today this is no big problem anymore, so why could'nt they unite today?

They're kind of are in form of EU. Benelux states have always been the core part of European unification

I like this map very much, but wasn't the border with France in 1790 pretty much the same as today?
